Integral Coaching Canada – A Class Endorsement

We are a graduating class of the Integral Coaching® Certification Program that Integral Coaching Canada developed and teaches globally.  We successfully completed the program in June 2010 and are now Certified Integral Coaches™. We are a class of professionals including a Psychologist, a Corporate President, International Consultants and Coaches. HR Directors, a Professional Photographer, retired Executives, and Government Managers, from six countries around the world.

We are excited to share with you a few of our experiences through this profound path of personal and professional development. We would like to share this from the perspective of what it was like being in a program that was so thoroughly challenging, yet so fully supporting of each of us.  How, through the ICC methodology, developed by Laura Divine and Joanne Hunt, each class member was so deeply honored for their unique and inherent qualities, while simultaneously, through skillful, timely and personalized means, we were patiently guided and encouraged to fill in the needed qualities and capabilities required to become Embodied Certified Integral Coaches™.

Entering this program, we clearly understood that our final Certified Integral Coach™ status was not a pre-given reality. Certification required the embodiment of clearly taught and well-defined coaching skills, as well as significant levels of personal responsibility and initiative to “act on” the guidance that was offered to us.  Joanne and Laura took great care and attention to clearly identify where each of us would need to focus our efforts in order to gradually acquire the embodied skills we needed to become certified.  An essential aspect of this transformation was our ability to recognize and work with our own limitations.  The program allowed for abundant opportunity of live practice.   As classmates, we engaged in numerous coaching conversations, each of them encouraging us to see and work with our developing edges in new, creative and safe ways.  Joanne and Laura clearly identified which of our current well-developed skill sets would be useful to employ and embrace,  which of our current ways and skills would limit our capacities to grow into Integral Coaches™, and what developmental path lay forward for each of us.

Through the impeccable and comprehensive design of this program, we all felt thoroughly supported throughout the entire process, not only by both Laura and Joanne, but also by ICC and the extraordinary faculty team including Phone Coaches and Study Group Mentors.  Everything was clearly defined and transparent, all expectations and opportunities were made completely obvious and fully available.  This enormous safety net allowed and encouraged each of us to explore and practice at the outer edges of who we were becoming. It was up to each of us to decide how far to go. ICC could hold it all.

In a shifting world that demands continuous change and endless adaptation, it is difficult to know where to turn and who to trust in our evolving development. Clearly, life will not allow us to remain static or complacent with our ideas of self, growth, or happiness. We are all being asked to grow and evolve in some way. In this age of the internet, and endless access to information the answer always appears “out there” with someone else holding the key to our empowerment and happiness. What makes ICC so different? It is the comprehensive and thoroughly penetrating nature of ICC’s “integral” or “inclusive” coaching approach and course design. It is not just more information “out there” that you are lacking and need to attain before you can become happy and effective in the world.  It is about “what’s in here,” your embodied sense and understanding of your authentic and evolving self, expanding newly revealed capacities and skillful ways of bringing your service, whatever that may be, into the world in whatever circumstance and situation you currently find yourself.
